I recently had lunch here. The lunch bento box special is a lot of bang for your buck; for around $10, I got:
-chicken teriyaki (okay at best, however...the sauce was served separately and you dunked the sauce on the side)
-6-piece spicy tuna roll (pretty decent, like Publix level sushi but I'm assuming the actual sushi they serve here would be better)
-salad with miso dressing
-miso soup
-a side of cucumbers, cabbage, and onions (just plain)
-thin noodles side (wasn't sure what this was-maybe stir fired noodles)?
-2 pieces of shumai (maybe pork? Maybe veggie?)
The service was fast, so this would be good for a lunch break during work. I give it 4 stars because the food tasted okay but for $10 you get an extremely large amount of food. You can probably order two of these and be able to split it between three people. -

While I'd like to say it is not real $$$ so do not panic.
The price is decent while u can definitely take it.
The server is nice but just did not check on regularly
They r still nice though.
The whole thing was really not a $$$ service or restaurant or decorations. Again, they r good. But still I ve been to better $$$ place than this before.
Again! Service attitude is nice just short handed. -

Overall, I was disappointed in Tomo based on high expectations of the reviews, menu, and location.
Service:
Our server seemed to be a bit rough around the edges in terms of her presentation. For example, she spoke very loudly and would frequently seem to rush us to order or listen to us in order to get to her other customers. When we ordered our appetizers, she wanted us to just keep one menu at the table. We requested to have in order to look at entrees. She physically reached out to take a menu saying "we don't have enough menus." Finally, she just said okay, and let us keep both the menus. Towards the end, we waited an extremely long time to get our check.
Food:
For appetizers, we got the Tulip Wings, Monkfish Liver, and Avocado Salad. The tulip wings were pretty good with the accompanied sauce, but not so much flavor on their own. I loved the monkfish liver served with a ponzu jelly with a nice kick. But the avocado salad was just so plain with mixed spring, avocado, only one piece of shrimp, and a pretty plain dressing.
We tried the Sushi-Sashimi on the menu, which comes with a spicy tuna roll, 6 nigiri, and 12 pieces sashimi. The tuna roll was very good, and the salmon was one of the freshest I had. But the actual tuna sashimi tasted so bad, I spat it out, and we could not eat the other one. I was disappointed not all of the fish was fresh.
The rolls we tried were the Negitoro Roll and House Special Roll. I did not like the Negitoro because the taste of green onion really took over the fish. And the House Roll was just okay.
Overall, the service and food was just okay, but the prices were way high for what we received. There are many other sushi places around metro Atlanta that have better quality and better service for the same price or cheaper. I'm glad to have had the experience with Tomo, but it will likely be my last. -

I visit here because I was craving for sea food and sashimi here was so good. I heard they fly the seafood in to guarantee the freshness and my oh my, it was so fresh.
My order include squid ink sushi (a squid sushi with ink sauce), the sashimi entree (include 18 pieces of sashimi) and a matcha cube. The squid ink actually tastes pretty interesting and goes well with the sushi. It is just salty enough that it adds extra flavor to the dish. The squid in the dish was fresh, you can taste the crunchiness of fresh squid from eating this roll.
The sashimi was really good. All the ingredients were fresh and the dish have a good variety. One thing that make me upset is that they kinda cheat with this dish by serving a tad cheaper sashimi, such as having 2 pieces of egg. However, the rest of the food was good.
The matcha cube dessert was tiny but flavorful. It adds a good ending to my meal.
Our server was pretty slow but it wasn't a big deal. Also, all meals come with a side of salad and soup.
The minus 1 star is for the cheated eggs in my sashimi :p. I'm pretty salty.
In general:
Service: 4/5
Food: 4.75/5 -

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would!! Chef Tomo's Omakase was a delight to the senses, and has given me a new appreciation for traditional Japanese cuisine/sashimi.
The booking process had to be completed by phone through the GM, who made sure that the process was not only flexible/smooth but also would be an experience catering to all our needs/preferences.
Chef Tomo himself is a master of the art of fusion and traditional Japanese cuisine. He informed us thoroughly about everything we were eating, not without cracking a few jokes here and there :) He also made sure to get to know us personally. The couple next to us were annual returning visitors, and you could tell - Chef Tomo treated them as longtime old friends.
Will definitely be returning & would recommend to anyone wanting to experience a phenomenal, authentic Omakase! Thank you, Chef Tomo + team!
